Credit card processing

To ensure your credit card details are secure and never accessible, we offer credit card processing through SecurePay a business of Australia Post. SecurePay’s encryption levels and Level 1 PCI-DSS compliance ensures your credit card information is secured to the highest available standard. Australian event terms

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events

Fees for CPD events, such as professional development group events and webinars, are non-refundable except in special circumstances.

Training and assessment

To confirm your booking you need to pay registration fees at least four weeks before the start of the course. If a registration is unpaid, we'll treat it as a tentative registration. The registration will be cancelled by Resolution Institute if it is unpaid four weeks before the start date, or if we have confirmed and paid registrations that fill the course. So we'll only hold your place after you have paid.

If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible. Notification of cancellations and requests for substitutions or transfers must be made in writing to learning@resolution.institute, fees are in the table below. You can call us on (02) 9251 3366 to discuss options and any special circumstances.

The information we provide is correct when we publish it, but things can change. Resolution Institute reserves the right to change course fees, dates, content or facilitators as we think is necessary. Resolution Institute reserves the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances.

Where a fee refund is due, all fees will be refunded to the credit card used for the payment or into the bank account you tell us (in writing) within 30 days of receiving your details.

Resolution Institute reserves the right to record, via video and/or audio, learning sessions for quality assurance purposes and to support students. Contact us if you are concerned about this.

Substitution, transfer and cancellation fees

Transfer

Participants must contact Resolution Institute within 3 months of the original course start date and let us know what course they would like their registration transferred to. If the course you want to transfer to is full we will attempt to find you a place on another course.

If you don't request a transfer within the 12 months of the original course start date and haven't requested a refund your course credit will expire. Transfer fees must be paid in full before a spot can be confirmed.

Cancellation

Cancellations received more than 4 weeks prior to commencement of the course will incur a cancellation fee of $200. Except in the case of compassionate or compelling circumstances, cancellations received between 4 and 2 weeks prior to commencement will be charged at 25% of the course fee. Cancellations received between 2 weeks and 48 hours prior will be charged at 50% of the course fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice will incur the full course fee unless a medical or other certificate supporting non-attendance is provided.

Substitutions

If you can't attend and would like someone else to attend instead, please contact us.

Fees for webinars and local or online networking/practice events are non-refundable.

Training and events

The information we provide about training and events is correct when we publish it, but things can change. Resolution Institute reserves the right to change course fees, dates, content or facilitators as we think is necessary. Resolution Institute reserves the right to cancel, postpone or re-schedule courses due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances.

The registration will be cancelled by Resolution Institute if it is unpaid two weeks before the start date, or if we have we have confirmed and paid registrations that fill the course. So we'll only hold your place after you have paid.

We understand life can be complex. If you are no longer able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible on 0800 453 237 or by email on infonz@resolution.institute. We are happy for you to send a substitute attendee in your place, or request a transfer or refund. Let us know if there are any special circumstances and we will always consider your case on an individual basis.

Because we have commitments to suppliers, there is an administration fee for changes. Fees below are in NZ dollars and include GST.

To be eligible for refund of fees as above you need to let us know at least 24 hours before the start of the course. If you haven't cancelled 24 hours before the course and don't turn up on the first day of the course we will not be able to refund fees.


Professional development subscription

Resolution Institute wants to make professional development ​affordable and simple by offering members unlimited access to our regular, shorter professional development events for one low annual fee. The subscription applies to the 2019 calendar year. The subscription allows the subscriber to a 100% discount (free attendance) at the following eligible events: upcoming live webinars, recorded​/on demand​ webinars, virtual practice groups, Australian Professional Development Group short events, Wellington networking and practice events and restorative Justice webinars.

  • Subscribers must be Resolution Institute members at the time of subscribing and whilst using the subscription.

  • Subscription fee must be paid before subscribers will be eligible to receive the discounted rate for eligible events.
  • Subscription does not guarantee a place at any eligible event. In order to secure your place at an event subscribers must register for each event.
  • Subscribers must be logged in as a member on our website (using the account that purchased the subscription) to access the discounted​ event ​fee.
  • ​Subscriptions are personal and non-transferable. Members must not share the subscription or register anyone else at the discounted rate.
  • Subscription fees are for the total subscription period, January to December. No pro-rata rate applies to subscribers who purchase the subscription part way through the subscription period.
  • ​Subscription is not refundable.
  • ​Subscription allows the subscriber to a 100% discount (free attendance) at the following eligible events: upcoming live webinars, recorded​/on demand​ webinars, virtual practice groups, Australian Professional Development Group short events, Wellington networking and practice events and restorative Justice webinars.
  • The following events are excluded from the subscription discount (member discounts still apply): ​​Resolution Institute conferences, Resolution Institute training courses, Online Group Professional Supervision, Australian Professional Development Group masterclasses and other 1-day events, Mediation training courses, Mediation assessment, Mediation refresher training courses, New Zealand family dispute training courses, Conflict management coaching courses, Conflict management coaching refresher courses and Restorative Justice courses and modules, and any other events not listed as events eligible for the subscription.

Resolution Institute reserves the right to amend the eligible event and excluded events lists from time to time, without notice. Resolution Institute is trialling this subscription for 2019 to gauge member interest in this service and the financial implications. The subscription may or may not be offered in 2020 and beyond.


Membership

Membership is non-refundable except in special circumstances.


Journal

Subscription

  • The subscription fee must be paid before the subscription is activated and is not refundable as far as the law allows.
  • You are responsible for the safe storage of journal editions you have subscribed to. We do not guarantee that replacement copies will be available at any time in the future.
  • Your copy of the journal is personal to you. You may print pages of the copy for your personal use and reference in connection with your work. You must not make or distribute unauthorised copies. Multi-use configurations or network distribution of the journal is expressly prohibited. Full-scale reproduction of the contents of the journal is expressly prohibited.
  • Subscription fees are for the total subscription period, January to December. No pro-rata rate applies to subscribers who purchase the subscription part way through the subscription period.
  • We may amend the price of the subscription and the number of journals published in a calendar year from time to time, without notice.
  • We may terminate the subscription or our journal without notice.
  • The delivery of a journal copy may be suspended or delayed in case of unforeseen technical problems. In such cases, we will inform you as soon as possible.
