Resolution Institute's social media reaches more members

Resolution Institute's social media aims:

  • To inform on aspects of DR and offer a platform for discussion
  • To offer an opportunity for interaction with DR professionals globally
  • To position Resolution Institute as an organisation that is keeping abreast of DR developments
  • To provide an easy way for members and others to keep themselves updated on topical DR issues

Staff trialled a new decentralised social media strategy aimed at engaging members on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. In only one month followers grew from 930 to 980 with a number of posts reaching a higher-than-average reach.

Two staff members - Winona Wawn (left) and Cassy Ashford - were recently recognised for achieving the highest engagement score on Facebook and LinkedIn with one of their posts.

Learning Pathways team member Winona secured the top post on LinkedIn with an article from Harvard Law School on what makes a good mediator >>

Nominations Services Officer Lian Drinan also put up posts on both Facebook and LinkedIn - especially on determinative DR topics - that reached hundreds of users.

This trial will inform the development of our communications strategy that may also involve asking members and other DR experts to contribute to our social media.
