About the speaker
A member of Resolution Institute for 25 years, coach for most of these and accredited since the national standards were introduced, Debbie has facilitated around 2,500 mediations.
A Narrative Practitioner for the last 20 years following two years post graduate diploma study in Narrative Therapy under the teaching of Michael White at the Dulwich Centre in Adelaide.
Introducing the practices of narrative into her mediation work, including developing a framework, led to a chapter in the UK publication ‘Workplace Bullying Symptoms and Solutions’ in 2012.
Since then she has developed a narrative approach to restorative conferencing work, Narrative Restorative Mediation. Debbie teaches this, Narrative Mediation and Narrative Therapy with her colleague Sue Davidson.
She has held several senior employed positions including general manager for an international shipping company, Company Secretary and Human Resource Manager roles in the public and private sectors.
A Scot by birth and heart, Debbie now lives in Tasmania on the Tasman Peninsula, after several years in Adelaide and before that Sydney.
