Learn how to run a lawyer assisted family mediation with confidence and get the most value for your clients.
Understand the mindset before going into lawyer assisted mediation – confidence/competence
Explain the role of the lawyer in mediation to clients and stakeholders
Understanding of the difference in the process, pricing and time set aside for the sessions
Engaging with lawyers before and during the mediation - how to get the most value for clients

The do's and don'ts in a lawyer assisted mediation.
Online Workshops: Full day online workshops upskilling current practitioners via Zoom meetings. A maximum of 15 attendees are able to participate in a given workshop. The trainer and the participants will be able to see each other and interact online. This new format will be delivered as ’ bite sized chunks of learning’ with an opportunity for Q&A at the end of each. These events are not recorded and can only be enjoyed live.
About the presenter
Conflict resolution specialist, Mediator
Lisanne is an award-winning mediator who specialises in family mediation and workplace mediation. Most recently, she won the award for Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner of the Year at the Australian ADR Awards and was a finalist nominated for Australian Mediator of the Year in 2019, 2020 and 2021 at the Australasian Law Awards.
“There is a lot of unnecessary suffering when it comes to conflict resolution and her mission is to reduce that; why suffer when you can learn the skills to negotiate and resolve conflict in any situation so that all parties come out on top? She is passionate about empowering people to achieve results they never thought were possible”.
Lisanne loves being a mediator and is passionate about training people in conflict resolution, communication, mediation and negotiation skills. She has delivered a lot of mediation and conflict resolution training since 2015 and loves it. She has extensive knowledge of the facilitative mediation model as she has taught that model for years.
Timing: Please note this session runs from 10am AEST | 8am AWST.
Technology required: Zoom application, PC/laptop/tablet/smartphone, Internet connection, sound/speakers or a headset and an in-built microphone.

Online Workshops are run using Zoom as our online platform.
How do I access the Online Workshop?
What do I need on my computer or device to take part in an Online Workshop?
You will ideally need a computer or device with a camera and microphone and good Internet coverage. You will need to make sure that you can access ‘Zoom’ in your browser. You can download and install Zoom prior or as part of the process when you first click the Zoom link.
You may join the Online Workshop from your PC, Mac, Linux or mobile devices (IOS or Android). Click here to learn about:

- Join a Zoom test meeting to test your Internet connectivity.

- You will need speakers or headphones to listen to the speaker. Check that your headphones or speakers are connected and the volume is turned on (where applicable).
- You may also need to check the Audio Settings on Zoom once you have logged in.
