40 years experience in virtually every area of the law, including as Queens Counsel (1980) government, including Minister in Employment, Communications and Attorney-General's portfolios and subsequently in arbitration and mediation. He is: * a Grade 2 arbitrator and mediator accredited by The Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia; * a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Chartered Arbitrator; * an accredited Mediator with the Victorian Bar Dispute Resolution Scheme; * a Member of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration Limited; * has taken part in virtually every type of ADR. He is a member of: (a) the Panel of Conciliators at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID); (b) the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center's List of Neutrals and the Center's Domain Name Panel; and (c) the panels of the National Arbitration Forum (NAF)(USA), Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre For Arbitration and the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (Hong Kong), for domain name disputes. He has conducted two inquiries for the Australian Government: (a) an inquiry into the longstanding claims of a 'whistleblower' against a bank, where all parties accepted Mr Brown's recommendations; (b) as Chairman of the Consultative Group on Constitutional Change on proposals to reform the Australian Constitution. He has recently conducted successful mediations in building and electrical engineering disputes and has a lengthy interest in the building industry, stemming from appearing in a government inquiry and many industrial relations cases in the industry. He conducts proceedings on domain name disputes for WIPO, NAF and KLRCA. Mr Brown now works in mediation, arbitration and the conduct of inquiries in many fields, notably intellectual property, construction, commercial and communications.
