The Local Government Principal Adjudicator is seeking expressions of interest from accredited mediators for appointment to the mediators panel required to be maintained pursuant to the Local Government (Local Government Inspector) Regulations 2025.

Under recent amendments to the Local Government Act 1995, code of conduct complaints made about local government members may be referred to the Principal Adjudicator or a Deputy Adjudicator for determination. In appropriate cases, adjudicators may refer the matter to a member of the mediators panel for mediation. The Local Government Inspector may also refer matters to the mediators panel.

Appointment to the panel is not a guarantee of any work.

If you are interested in nominating as a mediator, please provide:
1. a current cv
2. a copy of your current accreditation certificate
3. a covering letter setting out your mediation experience and an indication of your fee expectations.
