Preparing an expert report is not just about having appropriate expertise. Courts have strict criteria that need to be met for expert evidence to be admissible. Any person preparing an expert report and giving expert evidence must understand their role and what the Law and the Courts require.

Our Expert Witness workshop will give you a clear understanding of your obligations and address the practical aspects of preparing an expert report and giving evidence in a Court or before a Tribunal.

Spread over 3 afternoons, this workshop will give you a clear understanding of your role and obligations as an expert witness.

During the workshop, presentations from experienced practitioners will assist participants in learning about:

  • The role and obligations as an expert witness
  • Legal requirements for admissibility of expert opinion evidence
  • Preparation of a short expert report as a take home assignment; and
  • The process of cross examination taught by experienced Barristers
