Urgent request for Volunteer Mediators at The University of Technology Sydney | Saturday 25 | Sunday 26 May 2019

The University of Technology Sydney conducts an annual mediation competition for students.

Volunteer mediators can assist either as:

  1. A judge - this is fairly straightforward. There is a score sheet which is easy to use.

  2. A mediator - this is also fairly easy. The student teams tend to be well behaved and very interest-focused so the mediators can be fairly hands off.

This position requires the practitioner to be registered on the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners under the Family Law Act 1975 (see Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations 2008).

Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner

We are currently looking for an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our Family Relationship Centre based in Blacktown Centre. The Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners provide a range of interventions to families that are experiencing conflict and are unable to reach agreement regarding arrangements in relation to children.

This position require the practitioner to be registered on the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners under the Family Law Act 1975 (see Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations 2008).

Five consultants for Voices for Inclusion project

This project focuses on learning between different types of marginalized groups in five countries (Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Nigeria, Indonesia and Philippines) and to discover if collaboration between these groups can lead towards more effective influencing of policy and practices. This mission will include exchange visits to each participating organisation, organising and facilitating a learning event and providing coaching on writing project proposals for submission.
