The University of Technology Sydney conducts an annual mediation competition for students.
Volunteer mediators can assist either as:
A judge - this is fairly straightforward. There is a score sheet which is easy to use.
A mediator - this is also fairly easy. The student teams tend to be well behaved and very interest-focused so the mediators can be fairly hands off.

This position requires the practitioner to be registered on the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners under the Family Law Act 1975 (see Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners Regulations 2008).

We are currently looking for an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our Family Relationship Centre based in Blacktown Centre. The Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners provide a range of interventions to families that are experiencing conflict and are unable to reach agreement regarding arrangements in relation to children.
