MEDIA RELEASE: Save the date – Dispute resolution during a crisis.
Resolution Institute's 2021 Dispute resolution Conference
Thursday 23 June 2021
Dispute resolution is very quickly becoming the preferred way of resolving disputes across a range of legal disciplines including Family Law, Elder Law, Workplace disputes and the energy and resources sector. This is particularly true as we find new and innovative approaches to dispute resolution during a crisis.
Australasia's largest dispute resolution organisation, Resolution Institute, is pleased to invite the media to its 2021 international conference, Resilience and Reinvention: Dispute Resolution During a Crisis and Beyond 15 – 16 July 2021 at the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney.
“As COVID-19 continues to disrupt the local and global economies, significant challenges abound. For both private enterprises and public institutions, priorities are rapidly shifting under increased pressure,” said Amber Williams, CEO of Resolution Institute.
“For organisations in dispute-prone sectors, the efficient resolution of disputes is now more important to maintain business and rebuild community confidence and harmony.”
Ms Williams believes that the flexibility and reinvention of consent-based dispute resolution procedures have become increasingly important in meeting the needs of disputants. Thus, the Resolution Institute conference seeks to emphasise the value of and opportunities in dispute resolution under the current environment.
“The conference will also examine what the landscape for dispute resolution may look like in the post-pandemic era, looking into developments and emerging trends in various sectors,” said Ms. Williams.
Experts appearing at the event include key influencers and stakeholders from the business, government, judiciary, commercial and academic sectors. These experts will discuss developments and rising trends across industries in over 20 specialist sessions across three streams.
