Dr. Jane Bolitho has been appointed as the Diana Unwin Chair in Restorative Justice at the Wellington School of Business and Government
It gives us great pleasure to announce that Resolution Institute professional member, Dr. Jane Bolitho has been appointed as the Diana Unwin Chair in Restorative Justice at the Wellington School of Business and Government.
New Zealand is a world leader in the practice of Restorative Justice (RJ) with the process used widely in the court system and in other settings. With RJ being a vital part of dispute resolution in New Zealand, and with RJ providers throughout the nation, there is a growing demand for training and accreditation, which is provided by Resolution Institute, of RJ facilitators.
The Diana Unwin Chair in Restorative Justice serves as the focus for collaborative, interdisciplinary research and teaching on restorative justice theory and practice, both within the justice sector and beyond. As well as providing wide-ranging consultation and information on RJ, it also runs the Graduate Certificate in Restorative Justice Practice.
The holder of the Chair provides academic and professional leadership to a team of researchers and practitioners, and facilitates collaborative engagement between public sector agencies and civil society organisations on restorative justice issues.
We extend our heartiest congratulations to Dr. Bolitho and wish her the best in her new role.
