CEO update | December 2021 | A quick roundup of recent achievements, and looking forward to a new year

Dear members,

As we move into the final weeks of the year 2021, I thought I would reflect on some of our recent achievements.

Launch of Quickfiles
QuickFiles, our customed designed nominations online lodgement system was launched on 1st December. The system automates our back-end processes and allows for a more comprehensive and user-friendly online lodgement process for front-end users, particularly for adjudication nominations in each state.

Resolution Institute Awards 2021
We received a good number of nominations for the Resolution Institute Awards for 2021 across the following areas:

  • Emerging Practitioner
  • Exceptional Practice
  • Innovation in Practice
  • Service to the DR industry

The nominees will be considered by the Acknowledgements and Awards Committee early in the new year with the announcement of award winners to follow.

Congratulations to all our nominees, it was truly inspiring to be able to read about all that our members have contributed to dispute resolution over such a challenging year.

Opportunities in 2022
We kick off 2022 with some great learning opportunities and events.

  • Professional Certificate in Arbitration; run every two years, this is a unique offering between the University of Adelaide and Resolution Institute. As a national programme it offers a blended flexible learning experience that provides you with the knowledge and a practical understanding of arbitration. Course start date 11 March 2022.  For more information, please click here
  • Mediation training (NMAS accredited) to be run face-to-face in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in the first half of next year as well as online. For more information, please refer to the website here
  • Expert Determination course; after the success of the first course held in November, the course will be run again online on 24 and 25 March. More information can be found here

Christmas shutdown
Our Christmas shutdown period this year will be from Thursday 23rd December 2021, reopening on Monday 10th January 2022 in both Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

I would like to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. I hope you are all able to enjoy some time with your family and friends over the break and I look forward to working with you and bringing you some exciting new things in 2022.

Best wishes,
Amber
