About my services
Catherine is a barrister practising exclusively in private dispute resolution. Her practice is primarily in the determinative space having issued over 75 determinations and awards. She also provides mediation services.
Catherine is currently the Executive Director of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre (NZDRC), New Zealand International Arbitration Centre (NZIAC), Building Disputes Tribunal (BDT), and FDR Centre. She is also currently a member of the Resolution Institute NZ Committee.
Prior to starting her dispute resolution practice, Catherine gained a wide range of experience in commercial litigation matters both onshore and offshore, including working in the litigation team at Russell McVeagh (Auckland), the dispute resolution team at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP (London), and the litigation team at Mourant Ozannes (Cayman Islands).
Whilst working in leading law firms both onshore and offshore, Catherine has gained extensive experience in a wide range of commercial litigation matters, including fraud, insolvency, contractual, financial services, tax avoidance and regulatory issues.
