Circle of Security – a parenting program to benefit any family

The Circle of Security parenting program is based on decades of research about how to strengthen and support secure parent-child relationships.

This webinar provides information to referrers who work with parents and children of the benefits of the program. The webinar further highlights the empirical data which supports the use of improved parenting techniques to obtain better outcomes for children aged 0-5.

  • obtain an insight into child behaviour to enable practitioners to reduce conflict when dealing with anxious parents

About the speakers

Dr Upasana Kapoor
MBBS (Hons) FRACP Cert. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Dr Kapoor brings 15 years of experience in General Paediatrics, treating new borns to adolescents, to Greenslopes Paeds in pod practice.
Having completed her medical training in both India and Australia, as well as additional training at Melbourne University in child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr Kapoor offers a high level of comprehensive care for patients.

Her many years of training, work and research has seen her develop a specialist focus in the following areas: Child behaviour and development, Asthma, Neonatology and General and acute paediatrics.

By studying and working across two continents and numerous regional and remote areas of Australia, Dr Kapoor adapts well to treating a range of conditions and dealing with patients from different backgrounds.

Narelle Dickinson
Clinical Psychologist

Narelle is a 2015 Churchill Fellow Recipient, investigating the risks and implications of cross border surrogacy for Australians. She is sought after as a presenter at conferences and workshops across Australia and internationally, and has held lecturer and clinical supervisor positions with a number of postgraduate psychology programs.

Narelle is currently the Director of the Fertility Society of Australia, Board Member of the Prostitution Licensing Authority, and in 2020 accepted invitations to become an Executive Committee Member of the Australia and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association and a member of the Advisory Group to the Healthy Male Plus Paternal Health Project.
