SA Arbitration Master class 2021
26 June 2021 | 8.30am - 4.30pm | Adelaide
The Master class is an interactive workshop where participants will be expected to contribute to the debate on issues where participants will be assessed in their contribution and their understanding of the arbitration process.
Attendance at a Master class and a satisfactory assessment are mandatory requirements for re-grading or grading review in accordance with the Resolution Institute policy on the register of practising arbitrators.
Under the Resolution Institute Master class policy, all Grade 1 and Grade 2 arbitrators intending to participate are requested to suggest topics for discussion at the Master class. Topics will be grouped and allocated to sessions. Topics or questions and issues should be a maximum of 100 words and should arise from the registrant’s own experiences, circumstances of which the registrant is aware, or reported cases and articles. Topics are to be sent to email@example.com no later than 11 June 2021 to enable the programme and assessment criteria to be finalised and topics allocated.
Hosted by the SA/Adelaide Committee this Master class will deal with legislation, case law, rules and practice concerning arbitral processes at an advocate level. The program will be facilitated by Russell Thirgood.
We encourage Grade 3 arbitrators and arbitration students to attend (subject to number of registrations) to assist in skill and knowledge development.
Members are reminded that the Master class will require active participation in the discussions on the day and assistance in facilitating the presentation of the program.
Please advise us of your intention to attend as soon as possible, as numbers are limited to 25. Morning and afternoon coffee / tea and a lunch will be provided.
Resolution Institute expresses appreciation to Piper Alderman for generously hosting this event.
