SA Arbitration masterclass
Date TBA | Piper Alderman Adelaide
An essential requirement to maintain grading
A learning opportunity for potential grading applicants
Resolution Institute has adopted the IAMA policy for Registration of Arbitrators >> An important aspect of this policy is the satisfactory attendance by Grade 1 and Grade 2 arbitrators at a masterclass as part of the triennial review of their grading.
The SA Chapter invites you to attend this day long, interactive masterclass at which legislation, case law, rules and practice concerning arbitral processes are dealt with at an advanced level. The event, facilitated by Toby Shnookal QC, a Grade 1 arbitrator and member of the Victorian Bar, will require direct involvement from Grade 1 and 2 arbitrators. We encourage Grade 3 arbitrators and arbitration students to attend (subject to number of registrations) to assist in skill and knowledge development.
Grade 1 & Grade 2 arbitrators are expected to provide topics/issues/questions for discussion during the masterclass sessions. These should arise from their own experiences, circumstances of which they are aware, or reported cases or articles. We request that these topics/issues/questions (maximum approx. 100 words) be submitted as part of the registration process no later than 12 August so that they can be collated and included in the program to be distributed before the Masterclass.
Resolution Institute thanks Piper Alderman who are generously hosting this event.
