In this presentation, Tim Sullivan, a well-known Arbitrator and Adjudicator will discuss the legislative changes to adjudication in Queensland and New South Wales, and the lessons to be learned for Victoria.
About the presenter
Tim is an accredited Adjudicator under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act in NSW, Qld, Victoria, Act, NT and SA. He is also a Commercial Arbitrator on International and Domestic Matters Tim is also an Accredited Mediator. Tim is a Past President of the Institute of Arbitrators Australia.
Contract Administration Group, of which Tim is a principal, is the only entity with authority under the Queensland Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act 2017 to issue a Certificate in Adjudication to become an adjudicator in Queensland. Tim has also trained adjudicators in most jurisdictions, including Victoria.
Because of his extensive industry involvement in dispute management and dispute avoidance roles over the past 30+ years Tim sits on several Dispute Boards in Australia and overseas.
Tim’s focus is on the practicalities to be handled by the parties and the adjudicator.
