Online Workshop | Using Moore's 'Circle of Conflict' as a tool for mediation preparation and conflict analysis
with Lisa Frisken
Wednesday 3 June 2020 | 12.30-2.00pm AEST | 2.30-4.00pm (NZST) | ZOOM
This workshop will explore the foundational work of Christopher Moore from his book ’The Mediation Process: Practical Strategies for Resolving Conflict’ in the area of conflict analysis to assist practitioners to use the framework to gain entry to the dispute, assist parties in selecting the appropriate approach to the conflict, collecting and analysing the conflict and designing a mediation plan. For mediators to be effective, Moore says, they need to ‘be able to analyse and assess critical situations and design effective interventions to address the causes of the conflict’.
Participants in this workshop will explore hypothesis building and testing leading to developing strategy and interventions and reviewing hypothesis for further intervention during the mediation process.
Online Workshops: One and a half hour online workshops upskilling current practitioners via Zoom meetings. A maximum of 14 attendees are able to participate in a given workshop. The trainer and the participants will all be able to see each other and interact online. This new format will be delivered as ’ bite sized chunks of learning’ with an opportunity for Q&A at the end of each.
