Section 10 of the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW) Act) prescribes valuation of construction work and related goods and services, this session will explore the approach to valuation of construction work and related goods and services under the Act and common issues that can arise.

The session will be of interest to a broad section of Industry including adjudicators, contractors, lawyers, and sole practitioners tasked with preparing adjudication submissions where they will gain an insight into problems that can arise in valuation under the Act.

Tim will share his vast knowledge of the issues that can arise and their potential solutions.

Tim Sullivan

Tim is a past national president of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia. He is an adjudicator in six jurisdictions in Australia and has significant experience in all aspects of dispute resolution as an international and domestic arbitrator, mediator, dispute board member and chair, expert determiner, and dispute resolution consultant.

Tim is also the Principal of Contract Administration Group which is the only entity authorised to issue the Certificate in Adjudication under the Building Industry Fairness (Security of Payment) Act in Queensland.
