Adjudication in the construction industry with Tim Sullivan
24 May 2018
Thursday, 24 May, Canberra
Adjudication has been part of the construction industry in Australia since 1999 in NSW. It is based on legislation that entitles a contractor to progress payments even if the contract does not. It sets up a regime to allow for rapid determination of progress payment disputes and enforces the payment. Each state has similar but not identical legislation. In the ACT it commenced in 2009. Adjudication is now across the country, but there are many significant differences between the legislation in each state. Tim is one of the most experienced and capable adjudicators in Australia. Tim will share his vast knowledge of the process and its application. Bryan Ahern and Jo Jeisman will join Tim for a panel Q&A session at the end.
