Professional Certificate in Arbitration
with University of Adelaide
Run every two years | Online
The Professional Certificate in Arbitration is a university post-graduate programme offered jointly by Resolution Institute and the University of Adelaide Law School.
Arbitration is a formal dispute resolution process in which two or more parties refer their dispute to an independent third person who makes a binding decision.
The Professional Certificate in Arbitration is a university post-graduate program offered as a joint venture between our organisation and the University of Adelaide Law School, and will be offered again in 2022.
The blended learning delivery format offers flexible study options and is open to students across Australia. Materials and tutorials are delivered online and workshops are held in short intensive face to face sessions. This flexible learning option allows individuals to organise study around their work and life commitments. The content is highly practical and experiential, providing students with a solid understanding of arbitration law and practice and its role within the Australian legal system.
The program comprises two subjects and is designed for completion in one year; over two university semesters. The semester 1 Introduction to Arbitration course introduces the concepts, frameworks and practice of dispute resolution, while the semester 2 Advanced Arbitration course provides a greater depth of the understanding, knowledge and skills needed to determine arbitration outcomes.
