The Professional Certificate in Arbitration is a university post-graduate programme offered jointly by Resolution Institute and the University of Adelaide Law School.
This is the only University post-graduate program in Australia focusing solely on domestic commercial arbitration which also offers students a direct pathway to become an accredited arbitrator. The program is run once every two years.The blended learning delivery format offers flexible study options and is open to students across Australia. Materials and tutorials are delivered online and workshops are held in short intensive face to face sessions. This flexible learning option allows individuals to organise study around their work and life commitments. The content is highly practical and experiential, providing students with a solid understanding of arbitration law and practice and its role within the Australian legal system.
The program comprises two subjects and is designed for completion in one year; over two university semesters. The semester 1 Introduction to Arbitration course introduces the concepts, frameworks and practice of dispute resolution, while the semester 2 Advanced Arbitration course provides a greater depth of the understanding, knowledge and skills needed to determine arbitration outcomes.
