General Information

Kia ora Koutou

It's so great you are planning to join us for the FDR Online Conference 2022. Resolution Institute Aotearoa New Zealand and Arbitrators' and Mediators' Institute of New Zealand really look forward to welcoming you.

Here's a few things you may be wondering about or need help with.

Making sure the technology supports your learning
In order to access the conference you will need a device that can access Zoom, with a camera and microphone and have reasonable internet coverage. If you have the capacity to ethernet cable your device to your modem this is ideal, however good wifi will suffice.

We will offer several time slots online to check your technology access prior to the conference and we can give you a quick lesson in how to use the online learning platform if you are not familiar. We will supply the online zoom links once you have chosen your workshops.

We will offer tech support on the day if you have lost the meeting link.

Please consider your technology access as part of your decision to register.

Online format and platforms in use

The programme includes two whole group sessions and four workshop opportunities.

  • For the whole group sessions we will run in the Zoom webinar format, this enables larger numbers, presenters and hosts will be on screen, participants not on screen but able to use QnA and chat for questions and discussion.
  • For the workshops we will run these in the Zoom meeting format, both presenters and participants will be on screen. We will cap numbers in each workshop to enable interaction.

Choosing your workshops

Your registration provides you with 4 x 1.5 hour online workshops, running over three half days 3 - 5 May, 2022. You can choose one workshop in each workshop session line.

You can view the workshop times here. Please note this is a draft programme at this stage and may change.

We will send you out a workshop selection survey 3 weeks prior to the start of the conference and ask you to select your workshops based on the blurbs. We will then send you a list of your choices with the link to access each workshop on the day.

Please note workshops will not be recorded and made available afterwards. The intention is that you are able to attend 'live' as these are interactive online events with both facilitators and participants on screen.
