I am a specialist accredited mediator with the Law Society of NSW.I am also a panel franchising and small-business mediator. I am on the Supreme Court panel of mediators.
I was a founding director of LEADR (Lawyers Engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution, now the Resolution Institute). I have done the LEADR Advanced Mediation Training Course, the Harvard Mediation Training Course, the ACDC Advanced Mediation Training Course, I have also lectured in negotiation strategies and have conducted seminars for commercial dispute resolution to major corporates such as BHP and Westpac.
I lecture to master of laws students on dispute resolution and mediation.
I have acted as a mediator in many will commercial cases involving disputes ranging from shareholder actions to trade practices, employment, insurance, partnership, intellectual property and IT disputes. I have acted as an expert in determining disputes between government agencies and private companies, as well as disputes between companies relating to matters such as distribution agreements, lease disputes, franchise issues.
I am the chairman of the Appeals Tribunal of the Disciplinary Tribunal of chartered accountants of Australia and New Zealand. I act also as an arbiter sitting on the Australian Self Medication Industry Panel to resolve disputes between pharmaceutical companies in relation to advertising issues.
